Dark speckled lentils are the same variety as the better known lentils grown in the Le Puy Region of France, and from where they get their name.
Firmer and earthier in flavour than red lentils, they are great in hearty stews and soups. No need to pre-soak. Cook for 20 minutes or pressure cook for 8 min.
