Clare and Rupert from Planton Farm in Shropshire are new organic growers from Clee Hill. They are in the process of converting all their land to full organic certification and we are delighted that they have now achieved organic status for their egg production.
Set amongst 80 acres of ancient trees and rolling pastureland, Planton Farm is a working regenerative farm, providing a blueprint for a different future for agriculture: One that puts nature, people and profitability first.
These hens forage on biodiverse hay meadows which provide them with a diverse diet of grasses, herbs and insects. They are part of Planton Farm's mixed farming team, scratching cow dung and helping to spread it around to feed the soil microbes which in turn feed the plants.
All in line with nature's cycles, resulting in great tasting eggs.
