Plastic-free Organic whole milk from Shropshire
Proper Good Dairy is pasteurised, whole, organic milk. It is processed within minutes of leaving the milking parlour and bottled in returnable glass bottles.
The milk is gently pasteurised for 30 minutes at 65 degrees. Unhomogenised. This means that the cream rises to the top, as it should.
A note on the deposit scheme: 1 litre of Proper Good Dairy Milk cost £2.50, but with a returned bottle the price is £1.50. So, please make sure you leave your empty bottle out for collection every time. So, please don't hoard the empties - it will cause a problem for the dairy if you do, and it wont lead to the same savings for yourself. Hatton Farm is just outside Church Stretton, in the picturesque South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We farm around 500 acres of lush pasture land, in the heart of the Ape Dale. Our cows are crossbred, a mix of Friesian and Jersey. They graze outside for around ten months of the year, and this grass fed diet helps to give our milk its delicious, creamy flavour.
